Report Day 1: (25/4/22, MONDAY)

 

The day started with the inaugural function by lighting the lamp by the chief guest Shri. Sampanna, Deputy Commissioner, Bangalore Region. In his address, he stressed the changing role of librarian and the importance of communication skills, personality development and 21^st century soft skills which helps in developing the relation between the reader and the librarian. A photo session was conducted with Deputy Commissioner and the participants. The course started with the ice breaking session where the participants were asked to introduce themselves and then the Resource Person Smt. Archana Srivastava divided the participants into 5 groups and assigned duties to various committees. The resource person Sri. Mujib Rahman took an interesting session on library technology and trends which helped the participants to get awareness regarding the creation of Digital Library. The Pretest was conducted for the participants to evaluate their professional knowledge and learning needs. After the test, Sri. Mujib Rahman took another interesting session on blog, its applications and utilities. The day’s session ended with a brief description of various programs and activities for the remaining 20 days.
