e-Granthalaya Ver: 4.0 by Mr. D.K. Singh, ( Coordinator & Resource Person)

 E- Granthalaya is a Library Management Software developed by NIC, Department of  Electronics and Information Technology,  Ministry of  Communications & Information Technology, Govt. Of India. 

The Software has been developed by a team of experts from Library Science, Systems and architecture, Database Technology & software Engineering discipline. The current version of the software is version 4.0 - web-based, Enterprise Edition with a centralized database option for many libraries under one organization.

e-Granthalaya Ver:4.0 is a web-based application installed on a web server and uses PostgreSQL - an Open Source Database Management System.

The application may be installed on a windows web server and runs on Internet Information Server (IIS) along with a database which may reside in a separate Database Server Pc. 

This application runs in Cloud Environment,  Software will not be available on CD.

The government of India has also set up a National Cloud  called "Meghraj"
